“Saw” your picture . . .

"Saw" your picture, thought of you!

Welcome to the blog hop.

Sometimes I want to give a pack of cards with various assorted  greetings the receiver can attach.

This time I used the Urban Underground suite.

I made one card design then used Deigner Series Paper (DSP), one side of each for the cards to give them variety. It looks complicated, but it's not. I used two stamp sets, one card design, another sentiment set, and the DSP!

This month you learn how to make a nice gift set that is similar and yet not & how to reinforce the bag you give them in!

  • Basic Gray 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock (121044); Card Bases ,
    • 8 in total,
    • cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2",
    • scored 2-1/8" from each end* OR scored at 2-1/8"  & 6-3/8"
  • Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper (142783),
    • Card:  2 pieces from each side, cut 1-3/4" x 5-1/2"

  • Paper Punch (I use one from the house, but you can buy one 1/8" (3.2 Mm) Circle Punch    134365)

These are gate-fold cards. Each use the same design, but different DSP to create the interest and variety.

The handles are Delightful Dijon with Timeless Texture "wood" handles.

The pack includes in the gift bag:  8 cards (You can use more or less cards.) 8 stamped envelopes, and assorted sentiments on banners & dimensionals to attach them with. 1 sample card is included so that the recipient sees how to attach the sentiment. You can add Project Life Journaling Pens so they can write them to complete the gift.

Inside the card I used a "pad" on the reverse of the front board, washi tape as a border, I "hammered" the white cardstock writing area with "nails."

Such a fun project to make.

The container is a gift bag, but it is reinforced. I show you how in the instruction sheet.

Using the different sides of the DSP is a great way to create a set of cards that are similar but different. I like the idea of including the different sentiments. The decorations on the inside of the card are an added bonus for the recipient.
